Experience: Almost 60 years ago in Stevenson, Alabama, Joseph Wilkinson started at Avondale Carpet Mills, which is now highly recognized as Shaw Carpet. For Joe, this kicked off a lifelong career in flooring and a love for the industry.

In 1980 Joe, his wife Sara and their family relocated to Sulphur Springs, Texas where they opened Wilkinson Carpet. Several years later, they acquired Classic Floors and combined the two stores into what is now the fabulous Classic Floors.
Over time, two additional owners entered the scene, BJ Wilkinson and Donna (Wilkinson) Mabe. Both BJ and Donna share extensive flooring experience. Donna’s dual expertise in interior design helps guide customers into making the right flooring decisions for their space.
BJ’s long history with flooring began with years spent as a product distribution and manufacturing representative. He also served as a technical trainer and has the flooring details mastered.
